The workshop’s main aim is to think through strategies for digital self-defence, covering individual and collective protection and a culture of security among users. We will talk about some tools for a more conscious use of electronic devices, and reflect on safer, more sustainable practices when bringing certain technologies into everyday life. If you choose this workshop, and if you can, I invite you to download the Signal app (mobile) and the Mozilla Firefox browser (mobile and desktop) beforehand, as we will be talking about them too.
