Communication under construction: learnings from presenting our challenge

Casa Hacker's participation in the Third Sector Communication Forum opened space to share the challenge of structuring Communication amid the organization's transformations. The experience brought new provocations on positioning, institutional narratives, knowledge production, and the relationship between Communication and the projects developed in the territories.

At Casa Hacker, meetings between educators create spaces to share experiences, challenges, activities, and lessons learned in the classroom. Through these exchanges and reflection on their own practice, educators expand their repertoires and collectively build new possibilities for STEAM education work.

Expanding Horizons with Hackerclubes

The participation of Hackerclubes students in the II InterCOCEN Science Fair brought classroom learning closer to the research developed at Unicamp. The experience expanded the students' repertoire regarding the applications of technology and helped bring the university closer to their future possibilities.

Libras: Accessibility and Inclusion in the Campo Grande Territory

The project Libras, the Language of Inclusion offered free Libras classes to the Campo Grande community, with support from Hub Quebrada em Movimento through the Active Citizenship Fund Call for Proposals. Janaína Oliveira's initiative promoted four meetings at Casa de Cultura Itajaí, bringing together students, interpreters, and deaf guests to discuss communication, accessibility, and the barriers faced by the deaf community.

Far from the centre: what the 2022 Census shows about the periphery of Campinas

333,939 people, 29.3% of Campinas, live 10 km or more from the center. There, the median income of the head of household is R$ 2.567, compared to R$ 3.791 nearby, and there are more Black and brown people, more children, and less piped sewage. But distance doesn't explain everything: direction also matters.

At Hackerclubes, creativity is used as a pedagogical tool to bring students closer to technology and stimulate autonomy, experimentation, and expression. Classroom experience shows how STEAM education can create spaces for students to not only learn how to use technologies, but also develop their own ideas and solutions.

Before the final credits: what Cinema na Quebrada set in motion

The Cinema na Quebrada project brought an introductory cinema workshop to residents of Campo Grande, in Campinas. Over 11 classes, ten participants learned different stages of audiovisual production and collectively created the short film A Limbosa, which is still in the finalization process.
