technology is a right

your social investment creates opportunities to develop people and transform territories.

Casa Hacker is a non-profit education organisation working in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. We work in STEAM education, digital inclusion, social innovation and public policy — in the outer city, in the favela, in the state school, in the territory. Five programmes are open to sponsorship: you choose the programme, the city and the size, and we come back with the proposal.

// why invest with us

four things your team will want to know

  • We go where the company operates

    Four of the five programmes can be set up in a new territory. If your operation is in Sumaré, the programme happens in Sumaré, at the neighbourhood school, with a team hired there.

  • The money can come out of tax

    Two programmes are approved under culture incentive laws — federal and São Paulo State — with full deduction of the amount invested.

  • You get data, not a narrative

    Analytical reports end to end: from the session in the classroom to the social return on investment. Every figure is measured on the day the activity happens, not reconstructed at the end of the cycle.

  • Transparency is our signature

    We are an organisation in good standing with the public authorities, and we publish financial statements every year, annual reports and the results of each programme — all open, without anyone having to ask.

// how to invest

three ways to invest

Each one changes the timeline, the paperwork and who else has to approve on your side. None of them changes the programme or what you get afterwards.

  1. 01

    Direct sponsorship

    your own funds

    A contract signed between your company and Casa Hacker. It starts when the parties decide, and the design — city, audience, schedule, duration — is worked out together.

    Applies to all five programmes

  2. 02

    Culture Incentive Law

    up to 100% deductible from income tax

    Our projects approved under article 18 of Brazil’s federal Culture Incentive Law allow up to 100% of the sponsored amount to be deducted from income tax due.

    Applies to Hackerclubes and PerifaImpacto

  3. 03

    ProAC ICMS · São Paulo

    100% as ICMS tax credit

    A company that pays ICMS in São Paulo State allocates part of the tax due and books 100% of the amount invested as a credit.

    Applies to Hackerclubes

Places under tax incentive laws are annual and capped per project. Tell us in the form which year you are planning for and we will confirm availability.

Each one solves part of the same problem: people born in the outer city learn to use technology, but rarely learn to create it.

Hackerclubes

6 cities in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro

Technology, street art and invention inside the state school — and free of charge.

Seven months of weekly workshops at the partner school: from street art and graffiti to 3D printing, electronics, virtual reality and artificial intelligence. Each group builds a project that solves a problem in its own neighbourhood, and it all ends in a hackathon and the Hackerclubes Festival, open to the community.

Young people from state schools, with half the places reserved for under-represented groups. There are 6 Hackerclubes today, in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, with more than 125 young members — and the network can grow to your city.

sponsorship makes possible

One group, a whole Hackerclube for a year, or the network in two cities — including materials, equipment, a local educator and the festival.

Minas em Tech

Sumaré (SP)

100% of the places for girls and women. In a country where they are 16.7% of Computer Science graduates.

A free technology course for secondary-school students, all year round, with 150 hours of training: programming, electronics, 3D modelling and printing, digital security and artificial intelligence.

Plus an equipped space for hands-on work, team projects and visits to technology companies to meet women already working in the field. Running since 2022, and it can be set up in a new territory.

social innovation · entrepreneurial leaders of sociocultural impact

PerifaImpacto

São Paulo, Campinas and Rio de Janeiro

Every impact leader is an agent of change who should be supported, encouraged and funded.

In every outer-city territory there are already people doing the work: a poetry night, a dance collective, a film production outfit, a culture hub. What is missing is the structure that turns an initiative into an organisation that lasts. PerifaImpacto trains entrepreneurial leaders of sociocultural impact across five pillars: a learning track, one-to-one advisory, a monthly grant, a peer network and a selection process with diversity criteria.

The 2027 edition has 160 hours of training per group, 20 hours of one-to-one advisory per participant and a grant of R$ 1,000 a month — because the grant is what allows a leader from the outer city to stay to the end. It closes with the PerifaImpacto Festival, open to the public.

sponsorship makes possible

digital inclusion · training educators

Internet Segura

the Campinas region

It trains the people who already look after others to look after what happens on the screen too.

Free, in-person training in digital citizenship for teachers, social educators, child-protection councillors, community leaders and families: privacy and data, passwords, scams, disinformation, digital well-being, cyberbullying and online violence — and what to do when it happens. Each participant leaves with the Educator’s Kit, openly licensed, to pass on where they already work.

More than 700 people have been through the training, from São Paulo to Ubatuba. The methodology comes from the partnership with Tactical Tech, in Berlin, whose Data Detox Kit Casa Hacker has adapted for Brazil since 2018.

sponsorship makes possible

public policy

Legisla STEAM

the Chamber of Deputies, the Senate and the São Paulo State Assembly

Programming other futures means shaping the text of the law.

Whether the state school gets a lab, whether its internet works, whether there will be funding for science and technology education and what is taught about artificial intelligence — all of that is decided in the legislature, and arrives as a numbered sub-item, with no fanfare. Legisla STEAM monitors all three houses every day, sorts what matters, reads the full text, publishes a technical note with our position and sends the suggestions to committees and legislators.

In twenty months: almost 16,000 bills monitored, 36 followed closely with human reading and 35 technical notes published — all on a public dashboard that stays online.

sponsorship makes possible

A year of monitoring, securing Casa Hacker’s participation and representation in the legislative houses to defend proposals that guarantee the right to STEAM education.

// what you get

every three months

Following a Casa Hacker programme means seeing the whole path: who joined, who stayed, what each group built, what the community saw and how much social value your money generated. All of it becomes an analytical report — not an end-of-year slide deck.

  1. Quarterly progress report

    From the session in the classroom to the quarter’s result: what was delivered against what was planned, with attendance, retention, reach and audience profile.

  2. Communications report

    The outreach carried out in the period, and what it reached.

  3. Media kit

    Photos and videos of the programme, ready for your channels.

  4. Meeting with the team and the board

    With every report, with the project team and the board of the house.

  5. Results and social return on investment

    At the close: what changed, for whom, and how much social value each real generated — an SROI assessment with the calculation openly documented, which your committee can defend under a hard question.

Casa Hacker is an organisation in good standing with the public authorities and makes everything it does public. Financial statements published every year, annual impact reports, the results of each programme and the institutional documents are open on the site — and whatever you want to check before deciding, we send straight away.

// frequently asked questions

what people usually ask us

Can we choose the city?

With direct sponsorship, yes — and that is the most common case. With a tax-incentive project we work in the cities already approved; we check that together when the proposal is drawn up.

Is the deduction really full?

In our projects approved under article 18 of the Culture Incentive Law, up to 100% of the amount comes back as a deduction from income tax due. Under ProAC ICMS, 100% of the amount invested becomes an ICMS credit. Your tax team confirms the limit that applies to your case.

Can more than one company sponsor the same programme?

Yes. The tiers add up and the visibility is agreed beforehand.

Do you do corporate volunteering?

Yes — mentoring at PerifaImpacto, technical visits at Minas em Tech, workshops at Hackerclubes.

Do you accept equipment donations?

Yes, and we send the Correios postage authorisation. The rules are on the Donate page.

What if our company wants something that is not here?

Tick «I want to design something new» in the form and tell us what you have in mind. Much of what the house does today started as exactly that conversation.

We treat technology as a right and as a language of power, not as the privilege of a few. The outskirts are not a place of waiting — they are a place of beginning.
