The Hub Quebrada em Movimento has just received 8 more computers from Worx Base to be remanufactured and put back into the territory. The arrival of this new equipment strengthens an effort that has been gaining ground in Campo Grande: turning machines that would have been discarded into tools for work, study and community organising.
Over recent months, the Hub has established itself as a space for remanufacturing, technological reuse and the distribution of computers to social initiatives in the territory. With every batch received, more leaders, collectives and CSOs are strengthened with technology that makes a real difference in daily life.

Two smiling men pose side by side in what looks like a community workshop or laboratory. Both are giving a thumbs up. The person on the left is holding a monitor with a keyboard, symbolising the delivery or remanufacturing of equipment. In the background there are shelves, tables and technology supplies.
Technology that becomes direct impact in the territory
The process is simple but powerful: computers arrive at the Hub, go through sorting, cleaning, parts replacement and the installation of lighter systems such as ChromeOS Flex. After that, they go to community leaders who use these machines to:
- manage social, sports, cultural and environmental projects
- produce reports, funding applications and communications for their initiatives
- carry out planning and monitoring activities
- expand services and activities in the territory
Having a working computer today is not a luxury — it is basic infrastructure for anyone working on community strengthening.
Why do these new computers make such a difference?
Each remanufactured machine represents:
✔ a collective served with greater quality ✔ a leader with real working conditions ✔ a tool that widens social impact ✔ less electronic waste discarded improperly
Many organisations in the territory — cooperatives, associations, initiatives in sport, culture, education and mental health — depend on this technology to keep running. And for many of them, the Hub Quebrada em Movimento has become the main point of access to this equipment.
The Hub as a reference in remanufacturing in Campo Grande
This continuous work has been positioning the Hub as a local reference in:
🔧 computer recovery 🔁 circular economy applied to the territory 💻 democratising access to technology 🤝 strengthening community leadership
The combination of technical remanufacturing (carried out by Celso and Geraldo), community organising and responsible distribution turns the Hub into a steady flow of technology returned to the territory — technology that arrives to strengthen those who are already making a difference.
And the cycle continues
With the 8 computers received from Worx Base, the Hub begins a new remanufacturing cycle. Soon, more leaders in Campo Grande will be able to count on proper tools to keep mobilising, caring for, welcoming and moving their communities.
At the Hub Quebrada em Movimento, technology stops being disposable and becomes collective power.
