30 community initiatives will receive R$225 mil to strengthen social impact work in Campinas

Casa Hacker, Grupo Primavera and Ozipa Criativa, with support from Fundação FEAC, are publishing the results of Edital 01/2026 of the Fundo de Cidadania Ativa, an initiative that will allocate R$ 225 mil to strengthening 30 community projects developed in the territories of the Conexão Quilombo Amarais, Quebrada em Movimento and Ozipa Criativa Hubs.

The call was created to widen access for community leaders, collectives and civil society organisations to funding for local initiatives promoting active citizenship, social inclusion, culture, education, the environment, human rights and other agendas that are a priority for the territories.

Strong turnout

During the application period, 94 proposals were received, together representing demand of more than R$800 mil. The outreach strategy reached 1,341 unique visitors on the call’s pages, showing how interested the communities were in the opportunity.

Among the applicants:

  • 39 individual community leaders;
  • 36 collectives without a CNPJ;
  • 19 formally constituted civil society organisations.

These figures make clear the leading role of community initiatives and reinforce the importance of funding mechanisms that are accessible to the organisations and leaders working directly in the territories.

Selection process

The proposals were assessed by an evaluation committee, against the criteria set out in the call. As a result, 30 initiatives were selected, distributed evenly across the three participating Hubs, with ten projects awarded in each territory.

The total investment will be R$225 mil, split between fifteen grants of R$5 mil and fifteen grants of R$10 mil.

Diversity and impact

The selected initiatives span different fields of work, with Art and Culture and Education standing out. The process also reaffirmed the commitment to diversity, selecting Black, mixed-race and Indigenous leaders, women, trans people and teams made up mostly of historically minoritised groups.
