Context
Casa Hacker is a civil society organisation focused on STEAM education and social innovation. Our Theory of Change puts our entire team, technical partnerships, knowledge, and network to work in innovating, creating, and co-creating STEAM education and social innovation initiatives to make digital technologies and the Internet accessible to everyone and empower each individual to transform their local community. Considering this context, Casa Hacker invests in innovation programmes in the territories where it operates and is looking for professionals with proven experience to lead the strategy alongside us.
Within Casa Hacker’s STEAM Education team, the teacher plays an essentially pedagogical role. Day-to-day duties involve leading hands-on workshops, mediating discoveries in the classroom, and keeping observational records of each student’s progress. It is a role that requires teaching skills and empathy to handle different profiles and learning paces, ranging from technical instruction on kit usage to the socio-emotional support of participants. We are looking for someone who ensures a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment, guaranteeing that educational objectives are met at every gathering. The STEAM education programme consists of a board of directors, programme management, pedagogical coordination, assistance, teachers, and thematic specialists.
