In different peripheral territories, women have taken on fundamental roles in building solutions that are born from reality and speak directly to the needs of communities. They are leaders who act with courage, sensitivity, and strategy, transforming challenges into concrete actions of social impact.
Within the context of the Quebrada em Movimento HUB, driven by Casa Hacker, these women represent the power of initiatives that strengthen bonds, advance rights, and build new possibilities in the territories.
Women’s leadership across different fronts of action
The initiatives supported by the HUB highlight the diversity of possible paths to promote social impact, from mental health to education, from urban agriculture to the strengthening of women.
On the front of education, training, and institutional strengthening, the work of Aline Figueredo, founder of ®, highlights the power of initiatives that are born from direct experience with the territory.
A social educator and social worker, a resident of the Campo Grande region in Campinas, Aline built her path over more than 18 years in the Unified Social Assistance System (SUAS), working with organizations, teams, and communities in contexts of social vulnerability. Her journey is marked by the strengthening of bonds, the guarantee of rights, and the development of practices that expand opportunities in the territories.
Teoria na Prática® emerged during the pandemic, initially as an individual initiative, and transformed over time. Through the mentorship at the Quebrada em Movimento HUB, driven by Casa Hacker, the project takes shape and evolves, expanding its reach and impact.
Today, Aline develops advisory services, consulting, and training processes with customized methodologies, aimed mainly at public-policy workers and social organizations. Her work also includes producing applicable content, such as practical guides and methodological materials, strengthening action on the ground.
Collective care and mental health in the territory
The strength of the territory is also revealed in stories that are born from pain and turn into collective care. This is the case of Nádia Kelly Nunes da Silva, founder of .
The mother of Gabriel Henrique Fernandes da Silva, Nádia turned the grief over the loss of her son into an initiative that today welcomes and supports people facing challenges related to mental health and depression.
Founded in 2022, in the Campo Grande territory in Campinas, ONG Gabriel emerges with the purpose of bringing information, listening, and support to people and families who experience moments of emotional suffering. The initiative strengthens support networks and contributes to breaking down stigmas surrounding mental health.
More than a project, the ONG represents a commitment to life and to collective care: no one should have to face suffering alone.
Territory, the environment, and community mobilization
With the environment in the spotlight, among the leaders who transform the territory with concrete day-to-day actions is Fátima Alzira, an urban farmer at the Parque Itajaí Community Garden.
A resident of the Campo Grande region in Campinas, Fátima mobilizes people, collectives, and institutions around urban agriculture, environmental preservation, and care for the territory.
One of the milestones of her work was the fencing off of a spring near the garden, carried out collectively with residents, associations, and local partners. With the support of the Quebrada em Movimento HUB, driven by Casa Hacker, the action strengthened care for the space and encouraged environmental preservation.
The initiative helped reduce the irregular dumping of garbage and broaden environmental awareness in the territory. Among the actions developed, a theater play focused on environmental education also stands out, carrying a powerful message: “Everything that goes to the spring comes back to us.”
Strengthening women and building new paths
In the field of strengthening Black peripheral women, the stands out as an initiative that brings together care, training, and personal development.
Founded by Mariana Nunes, the movement works to create safe spaces of listening, welcoming, and emotional strengthening for women from the periphery.
Working in Campinas, the collective develops projects focused on self-knowledge, mental health, and communication, always connected to the participants’ real-life experiences. Its actions promote not only individual development, but also collective strengthening and women’s agency.
Driven by the Quebrada em Movimento HUB, through the Oficineiras do Rosalina project, the Movimento Rosalina expands its impact by strengthening women who lead their homes, their businesses, and their territories, with the first collaborative store of Black Women in the central region of Campinas.
More than a project, the collective establishes itself as a network of support and belonging, where each woman is encouraged to recognize her power and build new possibilities for the future.
Network strengthening and visibility of the initiatives
Working on different fronts, these leaders share challenges, lessons, and a common commitment to the transformation of the territories. The exchange of experiences among them strengthens not only their individual projects, but also builds a support network based on collaboration, mutual recognition, and belonging.
At the same time, giving visibility to these journeys is fundamental to expanding the reach of the initiatives and inspiring new leaders. Through records, social media, and communication spaces, these experiences gain strength, contribute to building more positive narratives about the peripheries, and reinforce recognition of the work that is already being carried out in the territories.
It is becoming increasingly clear that these women do not just keep up with change — they lead and sustain processes of transformation in their territories.
It is they who articulate networks, create solutions, and build paths, even in contexts where resources and opportunities are often lacking.
E, embora aqui estejam algumas dessas trajetórias, é importante reconhecer que existem muitas outras mulheres atuando nos territórios, promovendo impacto, cuidado e transformação no cotidiano. Este texto representa apenas uma parte de um movimento muito maior.
